The name “Frisbee” is copywrited by the Wham-O company, which manufactured the first production flying discs, called Frisbees. Hence, the sport cannot be called Frisbee, and was instead labeled “Ultimate Frisbee”, or these days just Ultimate.

The equipment is called a “Flying Disc”, or simply a disc.
