One of the core tenants of Ultimate is the “Spirit Of The Game”. Essentially, it is part of the very fabric of the game that if you play then you respect the opposition, you respect your team and you respect the game. It means you are expected to play hard, and play fair. This helps to build a very warm and welcoming community among Ultimate players.

Often competitions will award prizes for Spirit; so the team everybody else voted as the nicest or most fun to play against wins something!
