Ultimate in Australia is still very much in its infancy. Therefore, the Ultimate community is constantly recruiting more and more people from all walks of life to grow the sport.
This makes for an incredibly welcoming and supportive environment. Everyone is invited to come and try it out – either as a casual hobby or as a new life challenge.
Ultimate Frisbee is played all year round, so there is always a league or competition you can play in. Generally, open and women’s leagues are played in the summer months, and mixed league is played during winter. Social leagues are run throughout the year.
Ultimate Evolution enters teams into social and high level competitions and we are always looking to recruit new players at all experience levels.
If you have never played sport before, then you’re in luck! We are always looking to introduce new people to the wonderful world of Ultimate Frisbee and social league provides a fun, well spirit environment where you can learn the ropes without any pressure.
Ultimate Evolution currently has teams entered in the SA Open Div 1, Open Div 2 and Women’s leagues. So if you interested in playing at a fun yet competitive level, we are also looking to inject new blood into these teams.
If you enjoy playing sport at the elite level then you may be interested in playing at the national level for Ultimate Evolution. Ultimate Evolution has entered both Mixed and Open teams into the National Championships in 2009 and 2010 and we are always looking for enthusiastic new recruits to join our elite squads.
Finally, there are no age or gender restrictions on playing Ultimate. UE is looking to recruit some young blood (teenagers or early 20’s) as well as more Masters to get a good mix of keen enthusiasm and considered maturity.
To recap, Ultimate Evolution is recruiting:
- Men and Women
- Athletes, Sporty People, Absolute Beginners
- Young and Old
Basically, if you have enthusiasm we have a team for you! Please contact us or just turn up to a training session if you’d like to give it a try.
If you have a group of friends you’d like to play with, join as a group and we can put you in a team with one or two experienced club members to help you out.
