Each September UE host a popular event called the Spirit In Disguise. It is a one-day tournament where the emphasis is on having fun and enjoying the game of Ultimate. Teams dress up in a theme (for example, Super Heroes, Nuns, 80’s Aerobics, Zombies, Sleepover – see Multimedia) and play in a round-robin all day. At the end a winner is somehow declared, but this is commonly felt to be somewhat arbitrary and inconsequential. Afterwards everyone showers (optional) and proceeds to the tournament party. It has also been suggested that the tournament is also nugatory. Maybe one day we’ll just dress up and go to a party, but in the meantime we’ll continue to taint the event with some games of Ultimate.

Oh, and during the day we also hold the SA annual Disc Olympics.
